Welcome to the Remnant Readiness Tent User Guide Sukkot 2026:
Get Ready, Get Equipped, and Get Excited!
Sukkot 2026 is coming and the call to prepare is now!
We are excited and eager to gather with everyone during this powerful and meaningful time. Whether you have attended Tabernacles before, are preparing to dwell in a tent for the first time, are a seasoned camper, or consider sleeping with the window open your “outdoor experience”, this guide is here to help you choose the right Sukkah (tent) for your needs.

At Remnant Readiness, we believe in being prepared, answering the call, and being ready to move at a moment’s notice. We teach wilderness preparedness, emergency and disaster readiness, and outdoor survival solutions so that individuals and families can be equipped for whatever comes their way.

For GAI Sukkot 2026, each attendee is responsible for bringing their own Sukkah (tent). We strongly encourage everyone to purchase their own tent and essential camping supplies whenever possible. Owning your equipment is an investment in your readiness; not only for Sukkot, but for future gatherings, family trips, emergency preparedness, and outdoor adventures. Think of it as preparation with a purpose… building confidence and readiness for unexpected events, and whatever adventures may come your way.
Below, you will find helpful information on a variety of tent styles, sizes, features, and options to help you make a wise selection. Our goal is to give you a solid starting point so you can confidently purchase, your own Sukkah that fits your family, budget, travel needs, and comfort level.
So you do not have to rent!

For those who are unable to purchase a tent at this time due to travel restrictions, financial limitations, or other circumstances, a limited number of rental options may also be available. However, whenever possible, participants are always encouraged to bring and maintain their own feast day camping supplies, as personal ownership promotes preparedness, independence, and familiarity with their equipment.
Please also be on the lookout for our upcoming Wellness Preparation, Emergency Disaster Readiness, and Outdoor Survival Training, scheduled for September 4–7. Rental tents will be available for this wilderness preparedness experience.
If you are interested in attending, please indicate this in the comments/request box on the first page of registration, or contact us directly.

If you have questions, comments, suggestions, or need help deciding whether to purchase or rent, please leave a note in the registration comment box. For a faster response regarding tent purchases or rentals, please contact us by WhatsApp or direct phone texting is preferred.
If the options listed below do not meet your needs or are not affordable at this time, please reach out to the Feast Day Committee or GAI.
Very limited additional tent options may be available.

The Tent Capacity Myth
Tent labels like "4-person" are not standardized. They typically represent bodies packed shoulder-to-shoulder with zero room for bags or comfort. For a roomy trip, the golden rule is to choose a tent rated for 1 to 2 more people then will actually sleep onside.

Inventory Your Floor Space:
Who and What Sleeps Inside
Count more than just people. To determine your true footprint, your blueprint must account for all things.
The Golden Rule
Do not shop by "sleeping capacity." Shop by interior floor dimension (lengh x width).

Measue the exact footprint of your sleeping setup

When choosing a tent, it's crucial to always check the exact interior floor dimensions (Length x Width). This ensures that you have ample space for sleeping and storage, allowing for a more comfortable camping experience. Remember, the floor size can impact how many people or gear can fit inside, so consider your needs carefully before making a purchase. Taking the time to assess these dimensions can make all the difference in your outdoor adventures.
Measure Your Sleeping Setup
Add essential clearance space for walking and storage.
A 7x7 tent technically fits a Queen bed, but leaves no room to move A 9x9 floor is much more comfortable.

Zoning for Vertical Clearance
Floor space is only half the equation. Tent height significantly impacts your daily comfort, when using elevated sleeping bags, pads, or air mattresses. Choosing the right height ensures you have enough room to move around and enjoy your camping experience. Don't overlook this important factor!
Tha Layering Anatomy Of A Sleep System

DEFEATING THE HEAT-THIEF:
UNDERSTANDING R-VALUE
The ground pulls heat from the body much faster than the air. An air mattress alone will feel freezing because the trapped air easily transfers temperature.
Pad insulation is just as critical as the sleeping bag.
Sleep Systems: The Sleeping Bag Matrix
Mummy sleeping bags are designed to hug your body closely, providing maximum warmth and minimizing weight, making them ideal for cold-weather camping. Semi-rectangular bags offer a bit more room while still retaining some of the thermal efficiency of a mummy bag, perfect for those who prefer extra space. Rectangular sleeping bags are roomy and comfortable, allowing for more freedom of movement, making them great for car camping or family outings. Double or zip-together sleeping bags are perfect for couples or families, as they can be zipped into one large sleeping area, providing the comfort of sharing warmth while still having the option to separate if needed.

The Comfort Margin
A good rule of thumb is to choose a sleeping bag that is rated for comfort in the specific area you'll be camping. This ensures that you warm and cozy throughout the night, allowing you to enjoy outdoor adventure to the fullest. Always check the temperature ratings to match the expected weather conditions for a better night's sleep.

The Sleeping Pad Matrix
Experience the ultimate comfort with our versatile sleeping pads, perfect for any camping adventure. Choose from an individual setup for solo trips, a double set for couples, or a layered setup for extra warmth and support. Enjoy a restful night's sleep under the stars, no matter how you prefer to camp!

The Stakes of Spatial Planning

Field Tactic : Architecting The Exit Path

The Ultimate Camp Comfort Formula

Small Tents (1-2 Person)
Designed for minimalism, where low weight and compact packing matter more than interior comfort.

Medium Tents (3-4 Person)
The perfect staring point for two adults who prefer an air mattress and refuse to feel crowded.
Large Tents (5-6 Person)
For Campers who want room to stand, organize bags, or wait out the rain in comfort.

Extra-Large Tents (8-12+ Person)
Ideal for large families, groups wanting separate sleeping areas. or those desiring an indoor living space. Be aware: they are heavier, take longer to set up, and require a larger flat campsite.
Plan for Gear Storage and Weather
Plan for rain by securing external gear storage.
A tent feels much smaller when it rains because backpaks, shoes, coolers, and more must move inside.

The Real-World Matchmaker Matrix
Match your exact sleeping setup to the manfacturer's label to find your true comfort zone. Pads and sleeping bags will give you more space -vs- air Mattresses.
The Blueprint Methodology
Your start-to-finish Checklist:
Draw it out
Size up for your pads, bags, or/and mattresses
Account for the extras

The Golden Rules of Sizing
Map your space, ignore the label and claim your comfort in the wild.
